Overview
AITOR ULTRA is an announced ready-to-wear brand founded by Aitor Throup and publicly introduced in May 2026. It is conceived as a fashion-specific framework for research developed across Aitor Throup Studio, New Object Research and Anatomyland. The brand has not yet released its first collection: a pre-launch exhibition is scheduled for 23 October 2026 at Ambika P3 in London, in collaboration with the Westminster Menswear Archive, with the debut ready-to-wear collection planned for 2027.
The exhibition is intended to introduce the process before the commercial line. Prototypes, sculptures and one-off drawings are planned for display and sale, allowing the audience to encounter the construction of the project before a complete wardrobe reaches retail. This order reverses the usual launch sequence in which brand identity is condensed into finished product and campaign imagery from the outset.
AITOR ULTRA remains pre-launch. Its legal structure, production partners, distribution, gender scope, pricing and first collection calendar have not been publicly confirmed. The page therefore records an announced brand and its verified programme without treating future plans as completed events.
Philosophy
AITOR ULTRA is built around procedural visibility. Throup has described the brand as a response to a lack of meaning in contemporary menswear, but its practical distinction lies in how it exposes the route from drawing and sculpture to prototype and reproducible garment. The process is not supporting content added around a collection; it is part of the object the brand asks the audience to understand.
The design language draws on two decades of anatomical construction: articulated garments, integrated extensions, masks, veils and modular components. Earlier projects are treated as an ingredient library rather than an archive to be reproduced unchanged. The stated aim is to convert complex research into a scalable ready-to-wear system without erasing the reasoning that produced it.
This method gives the brand a deliberate chronology. The exhibition comes first, followed by the collection. Until the clothes are presented, AITOR ULTRA remains a proposition supported by prototypes and an announced framework. Its philosophy can be described, but its full wardrobe, commercial range and recurring codes will only become clear after the 2027 debut.
