Overview
Lanvin Lab was announced in 2023 as an experimental collaboration platform operating alongside Lanvin’s principal women’s and men’s studio and its dedicated leather-goods structure. Future became its first guest creative director, with the inaugural unisex clothing and accessories project released through several drops from November 2023.
The programme later encompassed Erwin Wurm’s Desire project. Lanvin Lab is a house platform rather than a separate company, and its guest appointments do not confer artistic direction over Maison Lanvin.
Philosophy
Lanvin Lab is organised around temporary authorship. Music, art and product are allowed to alter the project language for a defined release while the main studio continues on a separate track.
That structure makes attribution unusually important: each guest or collaborator is attached to a specific project, medium and period instead of being absorbed into a general house directorship.
