About this collection
A.F. Vandevorst moved to London Fashion Week for Autumn/Winter 2016–17 and used the Brewer Street Car Park for a collection sharpened by punk and mod references. Distressed denim, fishnets, leather drainpipe trousers and heavy cleated footwear were set against navy pinstripe, velvet evening pieces and pleated forms.
The seasonal move intensified the collection’s youth-culture energy without signalling a permanent relocation. London functioned as a temporary context for the house’s existing interest in uniforms, abrasion and hybrid femininity before the designers resumed their Paris-centred presentation history.
