A.F. Vandevorst

Spring/Summer 2019 showed how A.F. Vandevorst continued making clothes after leaving the old full ready-to-wear rhythm. Presented in Milan on 22 September 2018, the collection combined a twenty-piece daywear capsule with footwear, accessories, riveted bags and ten unique wedding looks.

The wedding pieces were made from repurposed vintage bridal and tuxedo material, giving the house’s established interest in ritual dress a literal source to dismantle and rebuild. The reduced scale matched the post-2017 structure while preserving the founders’ appetite for contrast between utilitarian daywear, ceremonial clothing and hard accessories.
