About this collection
Work-in-progress focused on clothing at the moment its public order begins to loosen. Tailored jackets slipped from shoulders, waistbands folded outward and striped linings moved to the surface, exposing parts normally concealed during dressing.
Presented backstage at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, the collection connected partial undress to freedom from the social gaze. Heavy AKIKOAOKI footwear anchored draped fabrics and asymmetric trousers, making the body’s changing posture central to each look.
