About this collection
Pieter Mulier’s final Alaïa collection reduced the house vocabulary to close-cut dresses, double-breasted leather coats, draped viscose, latex and raw-cut wool. Presented at the former Fondation Cartier building, the show placed the audience close to garments described by the house as minimal, pure and essential.
Keizo Kitajima’s portraits of the Alaïa team formed a separate installation and book within the show environment, making the atelier visible without converting every portrayed contributor into individual collection authorship.
