Autumn/Winter 2022 extended the project’s narrative handwork through shirts containing sewn-in letters and loose threads described as tears. The treatment drew on Maria Lai’s use of line, writing and textile, placing correspondence and interrupted language inside wearable structures.

Jacquard, printing, hand drawing and re-dyeing accumulated across antique and specially developed cloth. The collection made surface intervention as important as garment recomposition, while retaining the slow tailoring and limited production of the wider archive system.
