About this collection
Nostalghia used Andrei Tarkovsky’s film and its treatment of memory as a framework for Archivio J.M. Ribot’s antique-textile tailoring. The collection approached nostalgia as material carried into the present, not as a reconstruction of period dress.
Layered shirts, worn surfaces and soft tailoring connected cinematic atmosphere to garments already marked by previous lives. The season clarified Fares’s interest in an imagined time assembled from fragments, repair and contemporary alteration.
