About this collection
Spring/Summer 2008 combined the bell-shaped hips of Velázquez’s Las Meninas with rigid floral surfaces, thermo-reactive fabric and aggressive gladiator footwear. The body was compressed into a short, engineered dress whose volume projected sideways like a historical pannier rebuilt in chemical textile. The collection achieved a rare balance between Spanish court reference and synthetic futurism.
