Balenciaga

For Spring/Summer 2022, invited guests and celebrities walked a red carpet outside the Théâtre du Châtelet while cameras streamed their arrivals inside as the runway. The presentation then shifted into a bespoke episode of The Simpsons, in which Springfield characters travelled to Paris and modelled Balenciaga. The project made the machinery of attention itself the collection’s medium, collapsing show, celebrity entrance, branded film and internet circulation.
