Brandon Maxwell

Spring 2026 was shown at Sotheby’s New York during Brandon Maxwell’s tenth-anniversary season, but the clothes were deliberately framed as forward-looking rather than retrospective. Tailoring, fringe, graphic motifs and a lighter sense of play sat inside the wardrobe discipline of the preceding seasons, giving the collection the energy of a milestone without turning it into an archive survey.

The show is significant because it places a decade of development into a current operating model: Maxwell remained in control of the house, the post-2023 renovation had become legible across several seasons, and the anniversary was separated from the collection itself through a distinct celebration returning to Mr Chow.
