About this collection
In June 2003, participants dressed in Carol Christian Poell’s Spring/Summer 2004 menswear collection floated along Milan’s Naviglio Grande. The action removed the runway, seating and ordinary model choreography, allowing current, weight and bodily passivity to structure the presentation. Contemporary reporting verifies the event, while later archives circulate several title forms, including “MAIN STREEM DOWN STREAM” and “Down Stream Main Stream”. The display title uses the most common modern form while preserving those variants.
