About this collection

PREGNANT is the strongest early womenswear project documented in the surviving archive. Developed alongside the male TRADITIONAL ESCAPE world, it used altered bodily volume, leather garments, shaped clothing and accessories to treat pregnancy and expectation as structural conditions rather than decorative themes. Lift’s retrospective page supports the title and places the work within the broader ESCAPE presentation, although the original date and whether both projects were shown together remain unresolved.
