Carven’s Spring/Summer 1992 haute couture show captures the founder succession already under way before Madame Carven’s 1993 retirement. Alejandra di Andia, also known as Alejandra Sulitzer, was publicly positioned with Carmen de Tommaso and is independently identified as the house’s couture designer in 1992, making this show one of the clearest surviving anchors for Carven’s move beyond founder authorship.
