By Spring/Summer 2013, Guillaume Henry’s Carven vocabulary had settled into a recognisable system of cut-outs, snug knits, concise tailoring and controlled proportions. References to India, Émile Gallé and safari dress fed into that structure without displacing the compact silhouettes and polished everyday pieces that had made the revival commercially legible.
