About this collection
Phoebe Philo’s first Celine runway collection set a new house grammar through precise white shirts, lean trousers, leather panels, controlled colour and an absence of decorative narrative. Shown on 5 October 2009, it joined clothes and accessories as one disciplined wardrobe system.
