About this collection
Philippe Guibourgé’s Autumn/Winter 1978 collection introduced Chanel Créations as the house’s first modern, globally distributed ready-to-wear line. Jersey coats, skirt suits, braided trim and house hardware translated the couture vocabulary into repeatable commercial production.
