About this collection
Charles Jourdan commissioned a ready-to-wear leather project from Azzedine Alaïa and rejected it before release. The dresses, skirts, berets and gloves remained with Alaïa; their zipped, eyeleted and perforated construction later entered editorial circulation and helped precipitate his public ready-to-wear career.
