About this collection
The first Dior couture collection without Galliano was led by Bill Gaytten during the vacancy in the house’s top design post. Colour-blocked geometry, layered tulle, exaggerated shapes and studio spectacle attempted to demonstrate continuity, but the collection also exposed the difficulty of translating a long auteur-led image system into interim authorship.
