Comme des Garçons Homme Plus

Autumn/Winter 2023 places tailoring back at the centre of Homme Plus, but not as a return to order. The season treats the suit as something to stretch, question and disturb, keeping its social authority visible while making that authority unstable. Kawakubo’s menswear is strongest when the classic remains legible enough to be contradicted, and this collection works in that tension. It belongs to the same late sequence of suit-code rupture: formal, recognisable and resistant to the calm authority tailoring usually claims for itself.
