The season treats white as more than a clean surface: it becomes a way to frame tailoring through ritual, restraint and belief. Within Kawakubo’s menswear, that move feels especially pointed, because the line often works through darkness, damage and contradiction. Here, the charge is quieter, with clothing pulled toward ceremony rather than spectacle. The restraint gives the season its tension.
