About this collection
Costume National's inaugural womenswear collection introduced Ennio Capasa's synthesis of Japanese restraint and Italian ready-to-wear in Milan in 1986. Minimal lines, a predominantly dark palette and streetwear-inflected silhouettes established the visual ground for a house that would soon seek a wider audience beyond its home city.
