Spring/Summer 2023 marked Findikoglu’s return to a physical mainline runway after the pandemic-era hiatus. Staged in the damaged rooms of a nineteenth-century West London hotel and presented without a conventional soundtrack, the show moved through confinement, mourning and rebirth. Vintage Victorian textiles, restrained tailoring and a mini-pannier covered in tightly plaited human hair made the collection’s labour and psychological intensity unusually visible.
