About this collection
River Mumma drew on the Jamaican figure of a protective and seductive mermaid. Scott used high necklines, open backs, draped dresses, boxy tailoring and crochet overlays to sustain Diotima’s recurring balance between concealment and exposure, placing folklore within a contemporary wardrobe without literal costume.
