About this collection
Impressionistic Garden translated painterly colour into layered tulle, embroidery and floral eveningwear. The collection treated the surface of the gown as a field of dispersed colour, with embellishment following the movement of drape instead of forming isolated motifs. It offers a useful record of Georges Hobeika’s established Paris vocabulary before institutional recognition by the FHCM.
