About this collection
Les Chardonneuses expanded Germanier’s work with LVMH overstock into a full couture collection. Unsold luxury garments, Berluti uniforms made for the French Olympic and Paralympic teams, recycled sequins, sliced cans and embroidered bottles were dismantled and rebuilt through exacting hand-finishing. Thistle forms, H. R. Giger-like organic structures and references to Valais folk culture gave the collection a deliberately prickly Swiss identity.
