About this collection
Germanier designed more than 120 costumes for the Paris 2024 Olympic Closing Ceremony. The Golden Voyager used thousands of recovered beads to create an otherworldly reflective body, while pianist Alain Roche wore a suit with a 6.6-metre train made from hundreds of reels of vintage magnetic tape. The project proved that the studio’s irregular waste materials could be engineered for mass choreography, broadcast lighting and sustained performance.
