About this collection
Givenchy’s first couture presentation organised blouses, skirts and jackets as a modular wardrobe, using cotton shirting prominently and placing the ruffled Bettina blouse at the centre of the house’s early image. Approximately seventy-five silhouettes were shown, while 112 patterns survive; the exact day remains unresolved between 1 and 2 February.
