About this collection
Trompe-l’œil textiles attributed to Andrée Brossin de Méré depicted fruit, vegetables, seafood and drapery in Givenchy’s third collection. The prints established an early house vocabulary in which wit and illusion could operate inside otherwise controlled couture forms.
