My Beauty Offends You turned clothing toward defence through chainmail, worker fleece, long motocross gloves and glossy double-fly trousers. Norwegian knit references and imagery linked to oil wrestling and falconry widened the protective language into a study of masculinity, cultural inheritance and bodies under pressure.
