About this collection
golem’s inaugural Autumn/Winter 2004 collection introduced Maehama’s Paris-based menswear and womenswear practice after his couture studies and work with Kenzo Takada. The archive confirms the season and Paris foundation, but no formal title, exact date or presentation venue survives.
The collection established the label’s use of antique and second-hand materials, draped construction and limited production, with garments conceived to change through fading, fraying and wear.
