About this collection
Marco Zanini presented Halston Fall 2008 at Gagosian Gallery in New York on 3 February 2008, the runway debut of the investment-led luxury relaunch announced the previous year. Elongated jersey, controlled drape, monochrome eveningwear and polished day pieces drew on the house vocabulary through a contemporary luxury collection with Zanini as its sole public creative lead.
The show became the clearest complete statement of Zanini’s brief Halston tenure. His departure that July left the following season in transition, giving Fall 2008 a distinct place as the fully attributed runway expression of the 2007 revival before authorship returned temporarily to the design team.
