About this collection
Halston Spring 2009 was shown at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on 8 September 2008 after Marco Zanini’s departure. The public collection credit belonged to the Halston design team, and the staging referenced Roy Halston Frowick’s former New York townhouse as the company continued the luxury relaunch through an interim studio-led season.
Development had overlapped Zanini’s final months, leaving look-level authorship shared across a transition that cannot be assigned cleanly to one designer. The runway is significant as the clearest public record of Halston operating through collective studio authorship between Zanini’s exit and the later appointment of Marios Schwab.
