Hed Mayner

Hed Mayner’s Spring/Summer 2018 runway marked the label’s entry onto the official Paris menswear calendar. The collection drew on raw military tent canvas, utilitarian garments and the rectangular logic of religious dress, then loosened their authority through broad backs, displaced balance and draped volume. The show established Mayner’s early method of taking uniforms and protective clothing apart through proportion instead of treating them as fixed symbols.
