About this collection
Akalann pursued a controlled exchange between African textile knowledge and contemporary couture form. Woven cloth, wrap and surface detail were set against precise tailoring and simplified volume, allowing material history to remain visible without fixing the collection in a folkloric register. The official archive places Akalann in Autumn/Winter 2024, separate from the Spring/Summer collection Abeung Sanda Iyé.
