About this collection
Asseulénn was presented at Maison des Métallos during Paris Haute Couture Week in 2016. The collection belongs to the off-calendar period in which Ayissi was refining a recognisable couture language from African textiles, wrapped silhouettes and Parisian finishing. It helped establish the sustained presentation record that preceded the house’s later FHCM invitation.
