About this collection
Ikorrok takes its name from an Ewondo word for a garden left fallow so that it can regenerate. Ayissi used the image to argue for an ecological pause in fashion, working with natural fibres, handwoven cloth, raffia and couture construction. The collection made regeneration a concrete relationship between material, landscape and production rather than a general claim of sustainability.
