Empire-line references to Joséphine Bonaparte were cut against youthful lingerie, transparency and deliberately unstable notions of innocence. Although ninety-seven looks were shown, the collection did not enter production; the unlabelled garments became the creative endpoint of Aguecheek’s support rather than a normal retail season.
