About this collection
Galliano’s graduate collection translated the dress of the post-Revolutionary Incroyables and Merveilleuses into the androgynous language of early-1980s London. Furnishing fabrics, oversized romantic shirts, adjustable hems and garments capable of inversion established research, material economy and bodily transformation as working methods before Browns bought and displayed the collection.
