Juliette Hogan made her first Air New Zealand Fashion Week appearance on 19 September 2006 at Auckland’s Harbour Viaduct Marine Village, two years after establishing the company as a wholesale label. The runway brought the young house’s textile-led femininity into a national fashion-week setting, with contemporary coverage noting the delicacy and youthful restraint of the clothes.
The presentation also arrived as Hogan’s production structure was becoming more durable through the new relationship with Avenue Clothing. It established the runway as a public extension of a business that had already spent several seasons testing product through wholesale, and preceded the opening of the first Ponsonby boutique the following year.
