About this collection
Presented in Paris on 26 June 2013, Spring/Summer 2014 “Ghost” tightened JULIUS into a severe black-and-white study of the body within the modern city. Horikawa reduced the chromatic field and treated vertical urban space, digital perception and the figures of Adam and Lilith as conceptual pressures on the silhouette.
The result replaced part of the earlier organic ruin with cleaner architectural tension. Narrow planes, strict tonal opposition and controlled volume gave the collection a clinical quality without abandoning the label’s elongated proportions or sense of bodily distortion.
