About this collection

Autumn/Winter 2010 [goth_ik;] concentrated JULIUS’s early international language into one of its clearest industrial statements. Presented in a Paris garage against harsh noise, the runway set protective, sharply cut leather and narrow trousers against long draped layers, skirt-like panels and engulfing black volume.

The opposition between armour and collapse became a durable house mechanism. Military hardware, towering boots and obscured faces pushed the models towards an anonymous urban-machine image, while the draping kept the silhouette unstable. The collection remains a useful reference for the period when JULIUS’s Tokyo-developed dystopian vocabulary achieved its strongest Paris articulation.
