For the January 2024 Paris menswear season, Junya Watanabe MAN stayed close to grounded clothing codes: outerwear, workwear, tailored utility, and the structured layering that often defines the line. The interest is not theatrical reinvention so much as pressure applied to familiar garments until their proportions, surfaces, and combinations feel newly organised. In that sense, Autumn/Winter 2024 sits comfortably within Watanabe’s menswear practice, where ordinary pieces can become complex through styling, partnership logic, and the disciplined collision of product categories.
