About this collection
Germanier’s award-winning student collection combined surplus Swiss army blankets, industrial textile waste and reconstruction techniques. The rough military wool was redirected into shaped, decorative garments, establishing the contrast between utilitarian discard and exuberant finish that later defined his label. The project won the 2014–15 Redress Design Award and led to a commercial placement with Shanghai Tang.
