About this collection
Khaite presented Fall 2023 inside its completed first standalone store at 165 Mercer Street four days before the space opened to the public. Catherine Holstein’s collection moved through Griffin Frazen’s concrete, steel and plaster interior, allowing the severe retail architecture to become the runway itself. Vanessa Traina styled the show, Piergiorgio Del Moro cast it, and Hanna Tveite documented the presentation through photography and video.
The setting joined clothing, retail and spatial identity at the exact moment Khaite acquired a permanent public address. The collection made the new flagship part of the house’s fashion image and established architecture as a recurring counterpart to Holstein’s runway work.
