Khaite

Spring 2022 returned Khaite to a live New York runway after the brand’s pandemic-era experiments with augmented reality and film. Holstein paired lightly padded silk outerwear and crisp cotton with metallic miniskirts, cutout bustiers, leather trenches and sequinned dresses, bringing protective volume and exposed skin into the same post-lockdown wardrobe. Piergiorgio Del Moro handled casting within the recurring Khaite creative network.

The collection matters as a change in presentation rhythm as much as a seasonal design statement. Physical proximity, movement and nightlife re-entered the work after two seasons in which Khaite had depended on mediated formats, and the runway restored the bodily scale of the clothes without discarding the heightened image-making developed during the pandemic.
