About this collection
DESIRE introduced KIDILL to the official Paris Fashion Week menswear schedule through a digital film. Jesse Draxler’s dense monochrome artwork entered the garments and moving image, while Keiji Haino supplied the presentation’s musical force; EDWIN, Dickies, CA4LA, rurumu: and other specialists extended the product network behind the collection.
The film translated KIDILL’s tactile layering and outsider casting into a pandemic presentation without implying that the house had relocated from Tokyo. Its significance lies in the institutional change: an independent Japanese label entered the official Paris schedule while retaining Sueyasu’s sole fashion authorship and a Tokyo-centred production system.
