Presented after Jamie Reid’s death, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO PUNK! treated his imagery as a memorial archive rather than a continuation of the direct collaboration begun in 2020. Plaid, floral and cheetah layers carried slogans including “Who Killed Bambi?”, while Soo Catwoman supplied a historical styling reference for sculpted hair, animal details and London punk classicism.
The Carrousel du Louvre intensified the collision between institutional Paris and Sueyasu’s rebooted punk wardrobe. Fostex Garments, Dickies, HIZUME, Malcolm Guerre and rurumu: contributed bomber, workwear, headwear, accessory and knit structures, but the precise posthumous rights administrator for Reid’s work remains unidentified in the public evidence.
