About this collection
“Aliens” treated estrangement as a shared social condition rather than a science-fiction costume. Business suits, pinstripes and Western details were made subtly unfamiliar through skewed necklines, surplus buttons, layered fronts, trompe-l’œil fur and sharp green accents, while collaborators in music, textile and graphics broadened the collection’s account of difference and connection.
