About this collection
For Spring/Summer 2027, Abigail Smiley-Smith moved Maison Kitsuné into a full runway format with Urban Glide – Surfing through the city, presented in the gardens of Hôtel de Rohan during Paris Fashion Week. The collection treated summer dressing as a problem of movement and heat, using light tailoring, layered mesh, airy knits and technical fabrics to preserve the house’s everyday wardrobe while making climate and bodily comfort part of the silhouette.
Urban Glide also clarified the current Paris–Tokyo direction. Japanese material research and functional construction were set against Parisian urban references, while the co-ed casting and open-air setting gave the clothes a more physical public presence than the presentations that preceded it. As Smiley-Smith’s third collection and her first full runway show for the house, it established the current creative-director period as a runway chapter with a clearer public fashion-show identity.
